Residencies at Qubit Incubator

Introduction

Residencies offer creatives dedicated space and resources to incubate experimental ideas that bridge art, culture, science, and technology. Typically working in small groups, residents test and develop concepts into proofs of concept, supported by Qubit staff and social researcher Dr. Gretchen Ennis, who facilitates reflective practice. Alongside tailored support, residents can engage in theory sessions and workshops, sharing skills with peers and the wider community. Each residency culminates in a public exhibition—often showcasing works in progress—where the emphasis lies on the collaborative process and artistic exploration. Following the exhibition, residents are guided to build on their concepts and pursue funding to fully realise their projects.
